The Sky from the Bar Ditch

Feeling the need to clarify, for those who might not know, the origin of "bar" ditch. The "bar" ditch is the small gully that runs along each side of a road. "Bar" is how "barrow," as in "wheel barrow," is pronounced by many Texans. That little ditch beside the road is where such a barrow (or farm implement) should be--not blocking traffic. But don't tell that to a cotton farmer driving his million-dollar tractor between fields.

Being philosophical, I think this shows that just because you're lying in a ditch, it doesn't mean you can't appreciate the beautiful clouds and the verbena.
